Chess books about Queen's Pawn Openings

The symmetrical reply to the Queen's Pawn, 1...d5, introduces many openings, some of which are of recent vintage while others have been around for over a century. The vast majority of these continue with 2.c4, the Queen's Gambit, but first we look at systems where white refrains from advancing his c-pawn. The most famous of these sidelines is the Trompowsky, 1.d4 Nf6 2.Bg5 d5, which was popularlized by the English Grandmaster Julian Hodgson. Two other sometimes-seen variations are the Veresov, 1.d4 d5 2.Nc3 Nf6 3.Bg5 Nbd7 4.Nf3 g6 5.e3, and the Torre-Attack, 1.d4 d5 2.Nf3 g6 3.Bg5 Bg7 4.Nbd2 Nf6, although these lines can also be reached via different move orders.
The most reputable non-standard defence is Chigorin's 2...Nc6. Despite its odd appearance, it is not so easy for white to stamp out black's piece activity. The Chigorin is currently considered fairly viable, thanks in large part to the efforts of the young Russian star Alexander Morozevich, but no one would be too surprised if it fell under a theoretical cloud in the near future. The knight move blocks the c7-pawn, which is generally a viral source of counterplay in the Queen's Gambit.

A few of the most famous chess players who are often spotted examining the Colle in action are the former World Champ...
